in my haynes manual it says that during the life of the car, the tranny fluid should not need changing. well today i was driving and through out the day, my tranny was getting harder and harder to put into gear. so i thought it was my adjustable clutch cable, since it had loosened up on me before. last time i put some blue loc-tite (big mistake) on the locking nut on the cable. i checked and it hadn't moved. so im thinking, wtf could this be. i sit in the car and put the clutch in, and it goes into gear. just like butter. i lower it. it gets real erradic. some shifts are easy as can be, some i can barely get it into gear. im thinking that i might need to change or put in some fluid. i checked everything involving the clutch, and i couldn't find anything irregular. i need ideas on this one.
would bad or little tranny fluid make it hard to shift?

So when the car is lifted, the cluch works fine? If so, it could be binding when you lower it. Examine the cable and fork. Make sure the fork isn't hitting the dust cover/cap on the bell housing.

It depends on what type if cable you have. The adjusable cables have extra thread for the lock nut. My steeda one sticks out an inch or to bedind the fork and can "conflict" with the dust cover. I don't think this is your problem, but its worth checking. Sounds like you have a mis-routed, crimped, stretched or burnt up cable to me. Or perhaps a flexing/worn quadrant. I've been fortunate enough to have almost all the problems previously listed :-\
