I have a 4cyl T5-5spd transmission w /a small input shaft may fit a v8 with the right pilot bearing comes with no bellhousing good condition $250/obo Located in Salinas Ca (831)2109440

Smaller diameter AND shorter input shaft.
With that and with the lower torque spec of this 3.97 tranny(240 ft-lbs) vs. the factory 3.35 tranny (300 ft-lbs) it would be counterproductive behind a 302.
