Looking for an A4LD transmission for an 87 4cyl mustang. Must be in good working condition and ready to bolt in. Let me know what you have, thanks!

Wont work. Earlier cars, 87-88 had 1 solenoid valve bodies, for O/D. Later cars had 2 solenoids, 3-4 shift and O/D.
Though interchangeable, you'll be pulling your hair out wondering where that extra plug goes.

Is there a way to make the 89-93 mustang trans work or is it just a waste of time?

I've got an 88 and 93 A4LD and the only thing different is the cage for the planetary gears. 1 is cast steel and the other is stamped steel. Maybe also the size of the solenoid piston, but that's it. But I'm still new to this.

Thanks for the info and the compliment! I can't find an 87-88 a4ld trans so I'll check out the junkyard this weekend unless someone has one on hand that I can scoop up for cheap.
