Its got a 3.97 1st gear vs. 3.35 or 2.95 for V8 cars so it would be completely useless unless you were pulling stumps. Its also got a .79 5th vs .68 for V8 Not to mention the 240 ft-lb rating vs. the 300 ft-lb rating for the V8 T5. It also doesn't have the right speedo drive gear.
That tranny should only go behind a 2.3L 2.3L T5 facts from someone who knows

Yes thanks I know the difference. Never claimed to be from a V8 as stated in the ad. Simply said it can be used in a V8 car. Many of the early T5s had the lower torque rating and are still in cars today. Also being this is from an 88 the Speedo gear is the same. With the demand for T5s and not alot out there available, this is an alternative,many have used these.

Can you do a complete conversion from AOD over to a 5 speed? I'm thinking of doing that with my 89.
