Prices will help. Any of these would look good in a 66 Fairlane.

Oh My God
I wonder if I could take money out of my 401(k) without my wife knowing.

Any idea who the original owner of the SOHC was?
Many of them went to known guys or programs, so does this one have a story?

Wow, I wonder how long its going to take for some asshole to offer $500 for one of em? Good luck with the sale, those are awesome engines! I actually have a friend that might be interested in one or both, what are you looking to get for each one?

My dad bought the Cammer from Wayne Torkelson I believe sometime in the mid-late seventies. Some of the older guys on here should know the name. It was tucked away about fifteen years ago which was the last time it was run. My dad passed away last year so its time to find it a new home.
Wow I know Wayne.
Did you ask him if he wanted to buy it back?

Longtime hardcore racer.
The last guy I knew with an SOHC was an original owner of a Thunderbolt. You had to be or know somebody to get one of these powerplants, and if not, have plenty of financial backing.
Thanks for posting that here.

I have no way to contact Wayne. I had a couple of emails with Jim dimmitt jr. almost a year ago and he said he would run it by Wayne but I never heard back from him and I didn't want to bug Jim. Last time I saw Wayne was at sears point on a wednesday night in the early 90's. I think he was helping some guys tune their car. I remember him giving me shit because I had my ear pierced. If you can get me in contact with him that would be awesome. I'm sure he remembers my dad. Thanks
I can always ask Wayne........
