Hello 70 Mach 351!
I'm sorry, my youngest Son has totally lost interest in Mustangs/Hot Rodding. He just wants to sell off all of the stuff he collected while he was in the Army!
Thanks for the inquiry.

Hello TotalKaos!
In regards to your question as to whether my Son will sell the short block seperately, at this point the answer is no!
He doesn't want to break up the package because he needs to dispose of all of the components as quickly as possible!
Thanks for asking.

My two cents are always free, so.....
I would part out the combo. It will actually sell faster that way. Not everyone wants the same combo that your son did. I for one would be interested in the shortblock, but not the overinvested E7's. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

I talked to the owner yesterday. Very nice guy. He sent me picts. I can post them here if he want me too. I hear what you are saying about the stock heads. I had a set of powerheads just serviced and i couldnt sell the for 400.00. I ended up giving them away. [ August 17, 2010, 12:22 AM: Message edited by: jmcclesk ]

Hello Nifty Fifty!
Thanks for the offer on the short block, but thats a wee bit too low! I believe that a stock short block from Ford is about in that price range.
But once again, thanks for the offer.

Hey Nifty!
I don't know where you got the idea that the short block was used, but if you read the begining of my ad very carefully, you will see that I stated that it is NEW in it's original shipping carton, and STILL WRAPPED IN PLASTIC! YES DSS use's SEASONED BLOCKS (which is a nice way of saying pre owned - used etc) to build their engines. But so do ALL of the other Engine shops out there, unless you spedify a NEW Dart - World - Ford Racing - Professional Products unit!!
Also this is a Pro Series Short Block! The engine that you allude to is the Low Dollar model, which doesn't have the Blue Printed Block or the SCREW IN FREEZE Plugs!! This one has the Light weight Max Quench 18cc Dished pistons (8.86 - 1 comp. with 64cc heads + a .039 compressed gasket) This engine was, and is quite different from the one that you are thinking of!
So, it's worth a bit more than $1500.00!
Anyway,I will try to post pictures of everything later this morning so maybe some of the controversey about this engine will disapate!
thanks again for your interest!

347 Compression Ratio correction!
In my ad I stated that the compression Ratio of this combination is 9.8 to 1 with 64cc heads!
It is actually 8.8 to 1! I guess I fumble fingered the buttons when I was inputing the info. Thanks to jnmclesk, for catching my mistake.
Sorry for the confusion.

Just a bit of advise, I'd post this somewhere else. All your going to end up with here is a bunch of lowball offers. Also, the economy has killed values of everything. I've seen several built Fox bodies for much less than your engine combo and even a fully built 93 Cobra with a Vortech for a tiny bit more. I'm not knocking your sale at all, just trying to save or at least prepare you for the frustration of selling parts here. Good luck!
