I am looking to buy a 80's to 90's mustang gt, that wont pass smog or has alot of back fees from dmv, the reason is because i need one that runs and is around 500$ for a 24 hour lemons race. (can spend more than 500$ on the car) i wont need a bill of sale or anything else but the car. PM me pics of anything you might have and we'll see what we can work out. rdub91683@yahoo.com Robert 7073225993 [ January 11, 2010, 02:45 PM: Message edited by: 5.0soclean ]

I might have one soon but need the engine, harness and computer. You could swap in a carbed motor and get that to work, if it's allowed by the rules

I think it's a 91' gt should be fairly clean though when would you need it by?

I'm pretty sure it's all stock and should be pretty straight. Has an aode and is mechanically solid. Interior should be pretty clean too. It's dark blue/ grey two tone with grey interior. I'm trying to go see it this week and should have what I need out of it in a day or two after I pick it up. It's been sitting for awhile just collecting fees so it shouldn't be beat.

I had a 95 mazda 626 that i bought for $300 that i almost ran in this race. it would have lasted about an hour then took a big fat $hit. These races are awesome. Good luck in the search.

PM me if you're interested in a 5.0 auto vert. Don't know what LeMons rules are but you'd probably need arm restraints in a convertible.

I've got a buddy with what I believe is an 89 LX hatch roller with a full cage. He wants it gone, but would probably want a few bucks for it. Think you could get a working drivetrain in it and stay under the $500 umbrella?
