why not just a regular t5 from a 5.0? im sure their stronger?and probably cost the same price

They are different, I think you can use one from a Turbo T-Bird if I'm correct. Do you know if the turbo Mercury Capri was a 5spd or just a 4spd? A local junk yard here in the Chico area had one last time I was out there...

I know it sounds crazy but I'm doing a summer project for my daughter, 67 Coupe with a 200 6 cylinder and 5 speed. I guess I was wanting the steeper 1st and shorter 5th gear to compensate for lack of power...

give her an auto , i dont know many girls who like to drive stick,
its harder to put on their make up and talk on the phone.
