It is fuel-injected now. With a<br />carb setup it might gain another 100 hp.<br /><br />Equal-length long-tube headers to custom exhaust with cats.<br /><br />T-56 6-speed transmission to aluminum driver shaft to a<br />torsen limited slip differential.<br /><br />Full heavy-duty Griggs Racing suspension, including the<br />Watts-link rear, all installed by Griggs Racing, including<br />special K-member to set the motor farther back in the chassis.<br /><br />17"x9" ford wheels with 5-lug conversion, and Baer disks<br />all around.<br /><br />Extrude-honed upper and lower intakes. Remove cold air<br />intake and filter.<br /><br />Aluminum heavy duty radiator.<br /><br />Fiber-glass hood with 1.5" rise.<br /><br />Kirkey delux road-race seat for driver, adjustable.<br />Interior redone, with a custom storage compartment<br />where the spare used to be. Rear-mounted Optima battery<br />with kill switch. Rear seats removed.<br /><br />Bolted-in 4-point roll cage and fire extingisher.<br /><br />Air conditioning is all good.<br /><br />1.5 qt pressurized oil accumulator for maintaining<br />lubrication in sustained high-G turns and at startup.<br /><br />Almost new, very good looking Guards Red paint.<br /><br />Receipts and various paperwork available.<br /><br />This car is currently street registered in California, recently smogged for the sale. NB: this sale<br />will be as-is, with no guarantee of<br />street legality.<br /><br />Known problems: the heater core was leaking, so I bypassed it. The racing suspension and mounts transmit some <br />differential and suspension noise to the cabin. It's<br />been muffled with new sound-deadening material, but it'll<br />never sound like a stock car. The exhaust is not too loud,<br />but at full-song, it got flagged at Laguna so I would<br />shift into 6th passing the sound booth. It still passed<br />BMWs so annoyingly at their track day event that they<br />almost formed a committee before approaching me en masse<br />to find out about the car. The day it<br />was dynoed, the guy (who didn't know me from Adam)<br />thought something was wrong, and adjusted the<br />throttle cable (there *was* a problem, and I<br />wasn't getting full throttle), and suddenly the<br />numbers jumped up, and then, when he figured a way <br />to prevent the tires breaking traction with the<br />rollers, He laughed to himself and felt he needed<br />to stroke my ego to warn me without offending me,<br />saying "I know you're a great driver and all <br />(remember he didn't know me at all) but this<br />amount of power isn't going to be safe all the<br />time..."<br /><br />Having 415 ft/lbs from 1500RPM *is* brutal. This is a nice street car that would be a total blast on the track.
