for the record I paid 3500$ for a rust free 69 ss 396 chevelle 4 years ago, it had headers and an intake, just needed a carb and battery to run, also needed a grille. I drove it for 4 months put some 17's on it and sold it for 6000.

If you think its worth 20K then why dont you post it up for that much? No point posting it up asking for offers then getting offended when someone does.....

everyone says "rare" nowadays, an ss 396 is not rare and a run of the mill car for chevy back then, it's not a 427 yenko just cuz it has ss badges on it. Rare or not it's not like you will get a premium for a bench seat, I just posted what I paid for a real ss 396 car and what I sold it for as of 4 years ago, I see pristine ss chevelle's go for 15-20K and vette brakes? did they come off a 427 titanium race vette or are they simply bigger brakes that were standard on a vette and an option on a chevelle? another example of someone throwing around the "V" word expecting more $$$ and for the record my 69 had front discs but I don't remember if they were built by Smokey Yunick or not.

Man I tried reading that 3 times and still don't understand it. You gave a vague statement of what you had and I told you what I sold mine for to give you an idea.
