5 speed manual carbureted 1985 5.0 LX Covertible Mustang project. This has a lot of new parts and paint. It was newly repainted Saphire Blue months ago, has a new "4" cowl hood with locking hood pins, new Saleen wing, new starter and battery, Pony wheels, black leather interior, the front end nose was upgraded to newer 87-93 style, new white face gauges, new black dash cap, new crystal clear 6 piece headlights, upgraded smoked rear 87-93 LX tail lights, and all new emblems. Black leather interior in pretty good shape, few rips in seem on driver seat. Tuned up with new parts 7 months ago. Clean body as you can see from pictures. No engine problems.
To complete this project it needs: Top needs to be replace and repaired to auto open, I have a brandnew black top and glass still in box and for extra $150 I'll throw it in. Needs flywheel replaced to run. Was running strong, but flywheel was bad and finally gave out months ago. It will need to be towed. Headlights need rewire to match new upgraded front end lights, which I have the wire harness for you. Rear window regulaters and motors need to be put in which I have for you. Salvage title but not from any major damage. I've checked the carfax vin and last mileage was recorded at 98,513 and it currently shows 15,808, it's true mileage is 114,321. Previously had temporary registration that has ran out, but I've already paid the back registration fees so all you have to do is get the certified checks and smog to complete the registration.
I paid well over $1600 for new parts and $1700 for new paint job which I have the receipt and warranty for the paint. As you can see not much more to do to this baby and it will make a nice ride for somone. Asking $1,300 with outh new top and glass or $1,450 with top and glass. Price is firm. It have no more time for it and it's just sitting around collecting dust. Need to make room for a drag project. Contact me at (650) 521-3712 if interested and leave a message where to reach you if I don't answer.
I'M NOT PARTING THIS OUT SO DON'T BOTHER ASKING! You can do so after you buy it from me if you like.

What is wrong with the flywheel, exactly?
Can the car be push started or strictly towed?

I had someone check it out a while back and they said the flywheel teeth are very worn, so when you try to start it with normal key ignition you'll hear it just spinning but won't catch. Yes it can be push started but it's a pain and it will die out again cause of the flywheel problem, so best to tow.

LOL, well I didn't really care for the four eyed front look. I just wanted it because I wanted a carburated stang, so with the upgraded front I had the best of both worlds.

It's nothing major, just need a 87-93 front end, hood, and wire harness to bolt up to one side to power newer lights.
Stang still for sale, all pm's responded too.

Hey I'm open to trades for some good drag suspension parts or engine performance parts: heads, short block, 331 stroker kit etc... for my 91 GT, so let me know what you have. [ May 16, 2007, 10:14 PM: Message edited by: Mizz Bad Azz Stallion ]
