This shortblock came out of a customers car in perfict working order. It has 27,XXX miles on it. The motor was removed to be inspected because of low compression test numbers on #5. All that was found was a bad head gasket. I pulled #5 piston and rod as well as a couple main and rod caps to inspect things and everything looks great.
This would make a great bottom end to swap into a 2v GT or even a Mach 1.
The owner of the shortblock is looking to sell quickly to fund a new project. He is asking only $1500
Installation available.

Yes, it's Jim's block. The bearings look new, although this block has had a LOT of power through it, it has not skipped a beat. Ring gap is .010" from the factory. A little on the tight side, but obviously has handled nearly 700RWHP without issues. I'd recomend staying below 650RWHP simply because the ring gaps are so tight. No signs of detonation on any part of this motor....nor the heads which are being re-used. There is no need to rebuild this shortblock. It's in great condition.

Sorry, the owner doesn't really have any use for push rod motor parts.
