Topic: could really use some help with Nextel they are F*cking me!

I have been completly dissatisfied with their lack of cell service and cust. is shit.
My contract expires on the 30th of this month. activated a new phone with Verizon can't port my number over till the 30th because my cell # is tied to my contract.
Called Nextel today to shut off my phone in advance on Oct. 30th so I can port my #. Even though I am out of my contract they say I still can't take my number until Nov. 20th because Nextel/Sprint says you can only leave at the end of a billing cycle.
I am going to be paying 2 months for a phone I don't use and can't change to a lower plan because that would require a new contract.
help me get rid of this pain in the ass company.
now I know why some of you us Ghetro PCS no contracts no commitments no headaches no bullshit

Man I feel your pain. I cant stand the outragous bill. I have 4 users on my account, 3 of which I pay for. I hardly ever see a bill less than 250.00 To top it off hardly anyone uses the direct connect feature. So I'm gonna dump the nextel as soon as my contracts are up.

steve quit calling them on the phone and go to the store by the galleria and talk to them in person that is what i had to do

I have NEXTEL for over 2 y\r lock down and they s%ck. Everytime you change your plan or add a feature they reset your contract. lol
I feel you on their off shore support.

dude fuck nextel!!!! there service sux.. i switched over to getro and its great.. even better service in my house and i live up in the hills and shit... check this out...
with sprint/nextel every time u drop a call dial 611 and say drop call credit. u get credited 50 cents for every drop call. my brother uses this RELIGIOUSLY because he drops calls left and right at our house. when he gets free minutes he always just calls his voice mail or popcorn (time) just to get a drop call and get a free 50 cent credit. he gets like 10-15 dollars a month off his bill by doing that.
