Its a 93 cobra cam.. specs are different from a stock H.O. cam.. I think the lift and duration are different.. 93 cobra cam was meant for more low/mid range torque compared to a H.O. cam..

Here are the differences HO vs cobra. The cobra cam was also in 94/5 thunderbirds only they had 1.6 rockers on them.
Stock HO cam is 210 @ .050, Cobra is 208. Cobra has a tiny bit more lift, but also a wider lobe separation.
HO cam: Intake, .277" lobe lift (.443 w/1.6's, .471 w/1.7's) 116 degree intake centerline, 210 degrees of duration at .050". Exhaust, .278" lobe lift (.445" w/1.6's, .473 w/1.7's) 115 degree exhaust centerline and 210 degrees of duration at .050". This total cam has a lobe separation of 115.5 degrees and is ground with .5 degrees retard built in.
The 93 Cobra cam: Intake, lobe lift .282" (.451 w/1.6's, .479 w/1.7's), 115 degree intake centerline, 208 degrees of duration at .050". Exhaust, lobe lift .282" (.451 w/1.6's, .479 w/1.7's), 121.5 degree exhaust lobe centerline, 208 degrees of duration at .050" lift. This cam is ground with a lobe seperation of 118.25 degrees and has 3.25 degrees of advance ground in.

most of the info is correct except the cobra cam came im the 92-93 Tbird with a 5.0HO and 1.6 RR with E7 heads. the 94-97 TB came with a 4.6. [ 2014-02-15, 05:18 PM: Message edited by: Beastly GT500 TVS ]

Thanks for the correction. I have not heard of a can referred to as a gt40 cam. I wonder if it could from an explorer or mountaineer as lots of people refer to them as gt40 motors.
Op do you have a part number ?
