64 1/2, 65, & 66 are smaller & not as aggressive looking as 67/68.

I will agree that when it comes to coupes, 67/68's look better than earlier models, but when it comes to fastbacks, 65/66's take the cake hands down IMO...

Dustin, the black 65-66 fastback is stunning. But it takes a little flare to get them looking tough imho. Many enthusiasts consider the 65-66 to be a "girl's" car lol.
The 67-68 is tough right outta the box imho.
Here are some more pics:
there are definitely some gorgeous 65-66's out there too however

I agree with you about the coupes looking better in the 67/68, but Im not a huge fan of the rear on the 67/68 fastbacks UNLESS, they have the ducktail spoiler, otherwise I think the super long trunk looks weird on the 67/68 fastbacks...
Gotta love this rear though....
But none of this applies to what you are looking for anyway... Good luck with your search....

I've always thought the rear of the 67-68 is one of the toughest looking parts of the car.
In any case, the FBs are way out of the price range.

Having the 4speed already in it will make it a super easy to convert to a 5 speed. I paid 300 for just the stupid pedals on my 68.

Here's my 67's ass. Had this thing since 96, been pissed off at it ever since.
Beware when using a cable style adapter kit for a T-5 swap, the cable hits just about every long header made. I guess the engineers think people actually like to run iron manifolds.
