Extras with Cars from 1960 - 1978 needed for feature film "Milk"
Beau Bonneau Casting, a casting agency in San Francisco, is seeking Extras with Cars made from 1960 - 1978 for the feature film Milk, the story of California’s first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk, a San Francisco supervisor who was assassinated in 1978, along with Mayor George Moscone by fellow supervisor Dan White. This film is being directed by Gus Van Sant, with Sean Penn as Harvey Milk.
Shooting begins January 21st lasting through mid March in San Francisco. Extras with period cars will be needed throughout filming for authenticity purposes. We are looking for older, everyday-type, neighborhood cars that are in good shape and drivable, not classic show-cars. Cars will be driven on-camera by owner as street traffic if selected, and in some cases, car owners may also portray pedestrians with cars parked. Important: Film shoots are long, lasting up to 12 hours or more. We never know start time/location until the day before. Saying you are available means without interruption, from very early morning to late-evening. The Non Union extra rate is $74.88 for 8 hours, with overtime applied after 8 hours. This standard film extra rate is based on the SF minimum wage of $9.36/hr and is set by Milk production, not Beau Bonneau Casting. If cast with car, you will receive an additional payment of $35 for vehicle allowance.
How to Submit:
* Extras with 60s & 70s cars: If you’re not registered with Casting Networks (a.k.a. www.sfcasting.com), we must see a photo of the car & the car’s owner for casting purposes. Email this info to cars@beaubonneaucasting.com ASAP: - Car Year, Model, Make and Color (should be the email subject). - Name, Height & Weight, and Age Range (for example: 20s, 40s, 60s) - Contact phone numbers - General availability 1/21 – 3/14 with car (M-F shoot schedule until late Feb, then Wed – Sun) - 1 Recent color digital photo or snapshot of auto (side view preferred) & 1 or 2 recent color photos of the driver (no professional pictures necessary)
Note: Cars must be approved before use and ONLY car submissions are being accepted via email. If it can't be emailed, drop it off or mail it: Attn: Milk Cars - Beau Bonneau Casting, 84 1st Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. Make sure the requested info above is written on the back of each photo. Photos will not be returned. If you do not have a period car for consideration, but would like to do extra work on this project, visit the Actors & Extra Work area of www.beaubonneaucasting.com , then Currently Seeking for general extra submission instructions. Phone calls to our office will not be accepted. Beau Bonneau Casting staff will contact you if selected. Thanks,

My uncles car was used as an extra car and came back in very rough shape. Once they shuffled through the paperwork it ended up that he had pretty much signed away any justification to having his vehicle repaired.
I cannot say that this is the case with this agency, but as a long time member of this board I am allowed to share experiences.
