Took my stock 2007 gt 5speed to a 1/4 miles track today. First run I got 14.8 second 14.5 third 14.5 then finally got 13.8 and call it quits. My reaction time was better than my opponents every time. I was determined to get into 13 seconds haha Track racing is wayyyy different than street (I've been told this and it's true) This hobby keeps getting more interesting. End of story haha

This was all on blown shocks. I need to take advantage of the sale Koni has going on and get some Koni yellows.

10psi would be to much for that stock bottom end i would start with 5psi with aftermarket fuel pump and injectors with slicks and 5psi you be running probley between 12.44 to 12.61

10psi shouldn't be too much for a stock shortblock if its intercooled. A blower and some slicks would def get you into the 12s.

5psi would get me there where do I sign up lol. I've been researching and 10psi shouldn't be too bad for this block depending on tune of course. They sell a complete procharger kit with everything (inter cooler, fuel injectors etc) on American muscle I can get it all for less than 5200 with coupon code and instAll myself. This is my daily driver and won't be seeing track more than once a month most likely. I'm actually going to order Koni yellows since they on sale and focus on suspension and tires before I go to power adder. I really like the 07 body style and retro interior. The interior on gt's don't get better than these.
P.s. 300hp is at flywheel. More like 270rwhp max. [ 2014-04-13, 11:36 PM: Message edited by: 90GT510 ]

unless the tune is terrible it should be fine over 400. People usually say not to go over 450 but if you are using the right fuel and have enough of it and a good tune you're good. I made close to 500 on my stock shortblock with no issues.
