List more info on your combo....
What Uppers & Lowers?
Anti Roll bar?
Current 60' times?
Pinion Angle?
FYI....I run stock GT rear springs to 1.55 short times.

There are several companies who make "drag" springs you could try.
What tires are you using at the track and what does the car 60'?

On a fox, a stock spring cut down to the ride height you want it probably fine for what your doing. The shock is much more important to control the spring.

I use cut 4 cylinder springs which works for me, also rear 4 cylinder springs are the same springs that come in a 93 Cobra

my favorite setup is this for a mild street car (under 400)
HPM mega bite jr LCA, any or stock UCA
stock spring ok, but put a bag in it, and try about 8 lbs in it (go up to 11 if you need to and see improvements)
riding on a mickey thompson et street (radial or bias ply your choice)
this is the best setup i have seen for even double the cost
a 12 second car should hit 1.6x sixties only launching about 3500
