im building a spitfire drag/road car and have been looking at the early 90's supercoupe irs 8.8 rear end.
i have also been looking at getting a T5 trans but i have herd they lock out gears at higher rpm shifting(im looking to shift around 7200-7500rpms)so the miata road race people are steering me towards an RX7 turboII trans.
im looking to build it to be bullet proof drag/street fun 1800-2000lbs car 500whp around 7k rpm and 450wtq at around 5K rpm out of a 1.8 dohc 4 banger. i know i can make the engine solid and reliable but its the drive train im worried about.
you guys make alot more torque so i thought id pick your brains...any input is greatly appreciated.
