I will be there. Track prep better be good for the price. I know back in the days it used to be real good.

I'll be there as well.
Just to worn you, track prep most likely wont be that good. Kinda between a Wed's night and a TNT is common. ![[burnout]](graemlins/burnout.gif)

I would love to come down to race, I tend to do pretty well at events like this
Car is just not ready, still have a broken header tube and I won't have time to remove the header and weld it
Saving my money right now so I can get a set of 1 7/8" or 2" Kooks. That of course will require a tubular K-member, and new exhaust. Since I have about $20 in savings after moving into my townhouse, I am only about $2480 away. HAHAHA

I actually got that nickname AFTER the Ford vs. Chevy race a few years ago, when they threw a .400 tree at us and I left WAY before the other car. I ran an 11.3 and beat his 10.8x ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I remember all this. I think the driver/owner of the Camero you beat was Dan and his SN was "G8WHITE" or something along those lines.
Bad a$$ race regardless! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

I was planning on going, but will we really only get two runs?
This is a bracket event, right? Is it a .400 tree or a .500 tree?
I don't have the blower on the car right now so I just planned on running consistent, going rounds, and winning some money! It has to be a .500 tree though. I am good on a .4 on the bike but not in the car! It ran 12.31 last week at Infineon with a helacious headwind but good 60fts. I was hoping for 12.20's at Sac but it would have to cool down and have good track prep.
Is it going to be worth the trip over there? Also, it says that there is a Mustang class. So, are we running eachother or are we running against the Chevy's? It sounds like we don't race the Chevy's until we win the Mustang class.
Anyone have specifics?

I was very disapointed with the event. Track prep was ok, but the way they ran it this time with Ford vs Ford until the last cars was stupid. They had some bad anouncer, who wouldnt shut up. Seemed like if you know someone at the track you could run whenever you want, but those who didnt were screwed. Very disapointing.

I dont know about "knowing someone at the track and run whatever you want" statement LOL. We sponsor the track, hell our sign is at the burnout box and we wanted to make one more pass last night but were turned away due to the track getting cold. Believe me, we tried to get them to let us run but safety is safety and I understand. Overall track did pretty good for us and I was happy with the prep.

thats weird I seen some guys out there that are friends of my brother in laws who ran SOLO passes 3 times in 40 minutes towards the end of the night. I know they are there all the time, and regulars but we all payed to play. I used to go to sac all the time with my last car, and it has seen better days.
