It's been a long time coming but I ran a 7.92 at 185mph first pass at Sac T&T today. Only made one pass. I made good use of the MSD 7531 rev limiter dots function. I was on the dots throughout first gear. Wish I would have known how to use that ignition last year. New combo is 427 sbf with F2. With a little better suspension tuning I should have the car down in the 7.6 range. My cert is only good to 7.50. 60ft was only 1.31 with 5.20 at 1/8th mile.

New 427 motor did it's job and made it seem easy. Nothing really special about the motor either. Has a set of ported Trickflow-R CNC 225 heads on it. Older 337 motor with same heads went 8.04 at 179 on best pass ever before I retired it. That shortblock will be for sale soon. My other 400 ci engine (I have 3 engines) had oiling problems caused by me and spun/broke a rod at Infineon last Fall. It's currently being rebuilt. The current 427 DART shortblock I bought on Ebay last fall from Keith Kraft when he was doing a special on Dart shortblocks. [ February 14, 2010, 10:52 AM: Message edited by: KevinL ]

Way to go Kevin! Sounds like the new setup has a lot more potential. Let me know the next time you go out, I'd like to see it. Any vids of the latest run available?

Congratulations! Well deserved. Glad to see you come back strong! And great MPH!
I can't wait to see what that thing will do once you are able to get it off of the dots for so long.

Wow Kevin, you have really stepped things up from the last time I saw this car run at the track several years ago. Congrats on the 7s!
