I finaly bolted some slicks on my 91 to see what I might get out of it. My best pass was a 10.86 at 129 mph. I still only managed a best 60 foot of 1.62. I need a rear anti sway bar. It is twisting pretty badly. There are a few more tricks I might try in the future to help it out. there was a great turn out of cars tonight.

Nice time !!! Wish I was still in Redding. They could play for the Stanley Cup on Moroso's track [Wink]

I talked to a few guy's who were at the track last night and they said my car was still spinning the tires through first and second so there is room for improvment there. I guess running slicks that are 5 years old doesn't help [Eek!] lol

I was their also, which fox was yours? My best run of the night with both a slipping clutch and spinning tires was an 11.99 in my 03 Cobra. I was hoping for an 11.5 or so but didn't quite get there... Maybe next time.

My car did not make the trip [Mad] I changed the oil right before we were ready to leave, when I started it the oil pressure gauge wasn't working.I went to ford got a new oil pressure sensor and installed it. I guess I over tightened it because as soon as I started it oil went everywhere, there was a big crack in the side of the cast aluminum part where the sensor screws into. I was stuck in the passenger seat all weekend,at least it was in a blown, tubed 68 mustang.

I drove by and checked out the blown 68 when you guy's were parked by Jeff CA. cattle company resturant on Sunday. If you saw a dark gray expedition cruise by checking out the car it was me. The 68 looked sweet.

That's the 2nd one in 3 weeks I've heard about.
Sensor took a crap right after an oil change....very strange.
Maybe AED should be taking care of your oil changes. [Wink]

Don't feel bad.
We had a box full of those oil cooler/filter mounts from F'ing them up. The cast aluminum is more delicate than it looks.....& Ford using Tapered threads doesn't help things...

Let me know if you need anything.

thanks. I finaly decided to slick it up and try for a 10. Since my 69 ran 10's for so long it wasn't a real big goal of mine to hit a 10 in my 91. I need to stop now and finish my 69 lol.

lol I hit 130.7 the other day. I think that is as close as I am going to try to get for now....but I wasn't going to do anything to this car when I got it [Big Grin]

I do have a F2 with a intercooler in my spare room do you think I would hit 140 first or blow the crank out the bottom first....I vote for the crank

LMAO!

Congrats on the new best! IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

Oh yes, and I vote for the motor exploding into 2134569845237184 pieces before the car hits 140 MPH in the 1/4.
