Car is BONE STOCK with the exception of the cold air kit and tune.

Car ran a 13.33 @ 105 at Sears tonight! I was HOPING to be in the "HIGH" 13's. Shit, I can add NOTHING but the MT drag radials and I'm in the 12's, DAMN NEAR STOCK!

It is about time you got that thing out there. I can't make it out next week, but hope to make the final drags on the 8th. When are you going to be back out there? I will either be racing Deray's turbo Cobra or I will take my LX out one last time before the motor gets pulled.

FYI, the best my car ever did with everything I have now, minus the s-trim, was a 12.99 @ 105mph. This was with a 1.8x 60 ft, but it did bog a little off the line so I think that with 105mph you can get a little further into the 12's with a really good launch.

Well, the last time that I lined up against Jersey in a time trial he got me by a couple of car lengths. We had almost identical reactions and I jumped him off the line. He caught me at the 1/8th. Of course, he had more mods than I did and I was driving the wife's Explorer!

I know it is a different vehicle. I have just been wanting to show you that clip. Your car was an auto, but you had the 4.10's and a shift kit. Before that mod, I would have beaten you!

Anyway, don't feel bad. You beat me. The guy that should feel bad is the guy in the 70 Chevelle SS with the modified 396 that I actually beat. He had ET Streets on the back and skinny's on the front. Now this is funny! This was another time trial so we got the light at the same time. Forgive the poor filming because I was driving and filming at the same time. It was a little more difficult to do from the left lane.

Don, I was very impressed with your car and your times... Good job! I have been dissapointed in the new 3 valve cars I've seen at the track. I'm glad someone who knows how to drive finally showed everyone what they can do.

You should get RPM to pay for some of your mods besides the dyno tuning because it's good advertisement. Just put an RPM sticker on the window or something.

I'll be driving my Dakota again next week because my Mach1 is getting a new tranny, again! I'm not impressed with the Tremec 3650's at all.

Don, I never got my Mach into the twelves with the street tires. The best I could do was a 13.11 @ 106. I had a K&N filter on it at the time with welded in flowmasters. Those were my only mods. I put a set of BFG drag radials on it with the same set up and finally got into the twelves with a best of 12.86 @ 105.99. I'm guessing your car has about 200 more pounds over mine so I'm guessing 12.9's with sticky tires. I was only getting low 1.9's to high 1.8's with the BFG's (I did not like those tires at all). I never ran my car with the ET Sreets and the stock gearing because I was afraid I would break the rear-end.

I know we are all just BS'n, I'm just playing along too. We are all friends so we are aloud to bust each others chops.. right? I especially like giving my cousin a hard time (ha, ha)

Jersey, My exhaust mod gave me as much ET gain as my 4:30 rear end did. I was very surprised. When I put the off-road H-pipe and Magnaflow cat-back on it gave me on average 2 tenths and 2 mph. If you can pull off a low 1.7 with the exhaust mods you will be damn close to the 12's. The beginning and end of the season are the best conditions for trying to get your quickest ET's. Last Wednedsday was a really fast night. I got my second best time in my truck and I had a passenger!

Good luck on your quest to the 12's!! It's funny how much money and time people spend to get somewhere 1/2 of second quicker (ha, ha).

I was also amazed that out of the 3 other new GT's at the track last Wednesday the fastest one went 14.2 @ 98.9

I even had a heavier car then they all did.

Ha ha. I'm sorry. With all the sh## talking going on I just had to say it.

Good luck to both. Hopefully you will both touch the 12's when you race eachother.

Jersey, you should go out this week and practice with your new setup. If you are in the 13's then you know who to visit before the final race.

If you guys don't hit the 12's, go out on one of the weekend events and you will. Not only will your 60ft time be quicker because they VHT the track, but your speed will be higher as well. I don't know what it is about the morning air, but the cars are always faster. Ron ran 109mph on a weekend and I think 107mph is his fastest on a Wednesday. I ran 120mph on the last weekend event I raced at and a month or so later I was only running 117mph on the Wednesday events.

Where did you get the tires and how much are they charging you?

Do you have or know of anyone that has a stock proportioning valve for a disk front drum rear Mustang. My rear brakes don't work and I suspect the proportioning valve. I am going to change the master cylinder first, since I can still buy those.

if we were planing to race on the 8th then i can't go. Just found out today that i have a two day presentation on Nov 6-8th. hitting the freeway after 2:40 from hayward is just asking for trouble.

Nice, so now I call Weld back regarding the wheels and the guy on the phone says, "You know these cannot be driven on the street AT ALL right? They are made to go straight down the track and are not rated to handle corners AT ALL."

i was on a 12.80 run and lost a head gasket and still ran a 13.011 at 105 .when i seen the steam i let off and then i thought the damage is done and got back ioto it. don did you see that last run when it let go i pulled a 1.866 60 foot

Jersey, if you get there too late to line up with Don in a time trial there is always the Thanksgiving weekend event. The track prep and air is always better on the weekend. Although, these last two Wednesdays at the track have been really fast conditions due to no wind and good air.

Jersey, maybe you should give your car a quick tune up too. Synthetic motor oil, new plugs and gap them correctly. Don won't need a fresh tune up since his car is brand-spankin'-new!! It doesn't really matter who wins as long as you beat the Camaro's

I raced a 2002 Camaro SS with gears, cam, heads,intake, stickies, exhaust and 150 wet nitrous, in a time trial a while back. I was in my Mach1 with gears, CAI, stickies, exhaust (stock headers) and I completely annihilated him. I treed him, got a better 60ft and a better ET. I ran a 12.58@107 to his 13.03@112 (have video). He had a faster car but screwed that run up after he told me he was going easily beat me. His best run that night was only in the 12.40's... pretty sad since my engine is stock and I ran a 12.41 with it. Chalk one up for Ford.

It was also pretty sweet taking out the 2007 Shelby GT500 last week in my truck!

He had a faster car but screwed that run up after he told me he was going easily beat me. His best run that night was only in the 12.40's... pretty sad since my engine is stock and I ran a 12.41 with it. Chalk one up for Ford.

It was also pretty sweet taking out the 2007 Shelby GT500 last week in my truck!

Damn you guys! I am finally getting back out there and I was looking forward to watching your battle. Don, borrow Tony's wheels. Will they fit an 06? I am sure Tony will rent them to you for $50.

I will be running the 93. I am going to try and make a couple last smokey runs down the track before I pull the motor. Hopefully I wont have to get towed home! I took it out for a quick blast Sunday night and the dipstick pushed out about 6 inches and blasted oil all over the place. I still need to clean it up. I took the zip tie off that I had holding the dipstick in so I could add oil. It felt slow, so I don't know if it will hit the 11's. My ET Streets are really bald, so they may not let me run them.

Jersey, you may want to re-think the getting me sick part. If you get me sick, and I get my two kids sick, I can guarantee you that my Wife will hunt you down. Just kidding, she will just kill me. She is already pissed at me spending time and money on the car, so if I come back from the track sick, it will be all over for Craig.

Anyway, the air should be good tonight. However, I took my car out last night for a quick run and I was not getting all my boost. The belt must be slipping, but that damn thing is super tight. It may have gotten oil on it when I raced an 03 Cobra the other night and I didn't have my dipstick zip tied in and it shot out 6 inches and spit oil everywhere. Did I mention that I need a new motor!

I received my rear wheels, mounted/balanced the MT's today. I'll be ordering the MT Frontrunners Monday morning and will be in the 12's at the New Years Drag @ Sears Point

How does a car that has more than me "Heads and a 150 shot." run a 13.03?? He is almost 2.5 seconds off. Better yet how does he trap 112? Thats a stock with headers trap for a ls1.
