I won in the bike class last night.
The guy in the GT500 put some drag radials on the car and was driving it pretty well. He launched it hard and the shifts sounded good. He ran a best ET of 12.63 and his highest speed was 110.6mph. A big improvement from last week, but I was still expecting more from that car. The ET is pretty good for that speed. It was hot and was a pretty slow day. I am sure that there is 113mph or better in that car if it had some cool down time and some colder air. His gearing with the shorter tires also made him have to hit 4th really close to the finish line. That probably scrubbed a mph or two.

Congratulations on the Top Bike Eliminator trophy and case of oil.
The GT500 was definately running better. The first thing I would do to that car is put 4.10 gears in it.
The guy running the '04 Mach1 with the 2.2L Kenne Bell was also doing 110 but I think his best was in the 12.9's. He was running BFG Drag Radials.
I was a little dissappointed in both cars. I was expecting 114 to 116 and low 12's out of both the cars.
I'm running a 2003 Mach1 with 4:30 gears, 2.5" exhaust, ET Streets and a CAI... My best last night was 12.688 @ 106.54 and my best ever is 12.41 @ 109. If I can get those times out of a stock Mach1 with a few bolt-ons, why are the two cars I mentioned above not any quicker? They did have 4mph on me last night so I suppose they are capable of low 12's but it's still dissappointing they didn't have a 10mph advantage over my car.

Thanks Ron, it was a great night. came back with 8 time slips.. can't beat that.
yeah.. there is gotto be something wrong with the mach1 to only trap 110 with a power adder.. maybe the tune... The cobra's mph seemed to be off also... craig , i read the MM&FF article and they actually went into 4th on their best run.... maybe it'll get faster as time goes by.. who knows... Congrats on your victory Craig. I'll see ya guys next wednesday!
