what kinda helmet is track approved? wil any helmet do? what about the ones they have at PEP BOYS or something? where do i get one?

it has to be a snell 2000 certified helmet, you can find the cert by pulling back the inside liner in most helmet. and the track will check for it.

You can order one from summit,or get one at a local motorcycle shop. If its not $150+ its likely not a snell 00.

Yea pep boys has them. I just got mine a couple days ago. I think it was 170. If you pull the inner liner out a little bit it will say the year and the snell cerification, Along with a sticker on the back thats sais snell/dot.

i just got back from pep boys and all i could find were the ones that only have the "DOT" sticker.....will that do? or am i lookin at a totaly different thing?

if you race at sac they never look for the snell 00 sticker they just check to see if you have a helmet. unless you drive a honda

On TNTs they don't care but Wednesday night they'll check. They checked my anyways...I got booted the same night for no roll bar/cage...
