I just mounted my 26x8.5-15 slicks and like many slicks that are ran tubeless they have a slow leak. How much leak is normal?
How many of you guys are using tubes with your slicks?
I checked summit and they are $55 a pop so they aign't cheap. [ December 17, 2005, 02:28 PM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]

If you go ET Drags then put tubes in them and screw the tires to the wheels.

remember the good ole days when you would just get a warning and get told to go straight home and put the street tires back on
now all this street racing crackdown bullcrap makes anything minor an impunding offense
I had a cop try and give me a ticket for et streets that were almost brand new, i had to get out and show him the dot marks

I screwed mine down and I run tubes. I used to run 11.4@119 with no tubes or screws on 8" slicks with my 66. It worked but the tire slipped an inch on each pass.
Maybe the 5k clutch drops did that? hmmmm
I know it is rare but think if you broke a bead on a slick due to no tube, then wham you hit the wall. It may be as rare as lighting striking you, but I personally won't risk it after seeing a buddy hit the wall for being a cheap ass. [ December 19, 2005, 02:21 AM: Message edited by: jaybquick ]
