Well, after many months of running on motor, we finally put the jug on the car. On the first pass of the day, I staged, hit the transbrake button, floored it...and the car started launching. For some reason, the transbrake did not engage...strange. I just rolled into the jug, got out of it, rolled into it again, got out of it....ran a 9.53 at only 132.
Then, came the fun pass. I was worried that the transbrake would not hold again. After an unnecessary full on smokey burnout, I backed up....started rolling to the line and realized I better test the transbrake. Sure enough...did the same thing. I run the shifter through all the gears...same thing...transbrake wont engage. I finally get it to work...
I roll up to the line...stage...and launch. The car instantly yanks the tires and hits on the wheelie bars, sending the car to the left. I stayed in it, drove it back to the center of the track...and held on. What felt like 2 seconds later....I was through the finish line hehehe. Came back to the pits to find an 8.85@150 with a 1.31 time slip waiting for me!!!!

JP has the well deserved fastest norcal stock suspension small tire mustang title. What better way to challenge the time is to challenge the car. We talked today about running each other in January. That will be one hell of a race!!!!

It was jetted for a 250 shot but was not getting a full 250 hp. With a true 250 shot, this thing should hit an 8.60ish at about 155.
Two of the plugs burned a little bit. I'm not the type to just change plugs and go run again. I got the 8, I was stoked. Rather bring it home, go through everything, and make sure it is all well.
oh...and I did pull the chute on the 8 second pass

Thanks 50deep. My goal was to come out once on the jug, then lighten her up even more. Holidays are right around the corner so I'm gonna come up with a plan of what I'm going to do to step up the car. Most likely, I'll be back out again in January.
