Should I do my burnout in 1st or 2nd? I just worry that the clutch won't hold slicks in 2nd? Any thoughts?

Jeff, Drew, 2nd gear burnout despite having 200 less HP than the both of you? I've always done my burnouts in 2nd as well, but I have also never used slicks...
Basically, I am pretty excited about a track visit... It's been years, and this 93 coupe has never seen a track in the 3 years I've owned it. Luke

Even when my car was almost stock I was doing 2nd gear burnouts. Now with 4.10's I'm temped to start doing them in 3rd.

2nd it is... I just need to make sure I fully roll through that water box.
The 1st gear burnout probably won't get them spinning fast enough with 3.90's Luke

I usually give the throttle a tap coming out of the water box so that the tries spin a little in the water. Just to make sure they are good and wet. Also make sure you take a glance into the water box when you are driving around it. Sometimes they slack on keeping water in it, but at TNT they are normally on top of things.

Sounds great Drew, I'm excited to get out there on slicks and see how rusty the skills are.
Don't hesitate to come say what's up if you see a guy in a white 93 coupe runnin in the next few weeks... Luke

2nd gear burnout, go up to the line and rev to 5K then dump it, torque boxes be damned.

That's what I always do... Well, I did when I had cars that required a burnout to go fast. LOL

I used to just roll back all the way through the water and then roll forward through it again, 5k dump in second gear

Your car will bog with Cobra brakes and a 2nd gear burnout, but go ahead and try it, just watch your clutch!

Luke is my buddy, so I just figured I'd help him out a little. He hasn't yet made it to the track, so maybe this post will provide the information he needs
