This was my first time drag racing.
My best pass was the first round of the eliminations. I'd managed one pass of 14.174 @ 106.828 during practice with everything else 14.4+, so I guessed 14.05 as a nice 'unattainable' dial in:
Reaction: .001 I1: 2.472 I2: 6.337 I3: 9.373 @ 82.679 ET: 14.048 @ 107.215
I think my best 60' was like 2.2.
I made 21 runs total. I was expecting like five...

with that MPH you are in the 12's. What gears are you running and are you running drag radials?

3.73s.
I don't have drag radials, I was just running my regular street tires (at about 20psi).

Nice!
Like stated above, your MPG is more than good enough for a high 12 if you can cut a good 60'. Otherwise Drag Radials should get you into the low 13s NP [ June 13, 2004, 09:13 AM: Message edited by: F8LPONY ]

11's no? if it's the same person I heard he was hooking pretty well.
BTW you need higher pressure on street tires for them to grip. Unlike slicks they don't have a side wall the colapses so what ends up colapsing is the center of the thread thus making it have less thread contacting the pavement.

Yup. I was having nothing but problems from the min. I arrived to the track.
1st The tech guy was giving me B.S. 2nd After my first run I lost two header bolts which made the car sound like whistling dixie... After Mark(1320master)and I fixed it. 3rd My battery died from alternating the fan/ electric water pump between lap. So to fix that problem I used the battery from my expo.
4th The run that felt to be the night's best run was f---d by a jack rabbit Which I managed to get on vedio as well. & 5th towards mid-day my mini hi-torgue starter decided to take a shit . lol
So for you all who saw me and my buddies push starting the car around - Now you know why lol. We didn't give up, which some what paid off with an ET-11.37 mph 120.9 1.52-60ft. I also recieved a blue jacket embroidered with Mustang Madness on it's back side.
Special thanks to John McClesky and Mark for their help... [ June 13, 2004, 06:49 PM: Message edited by: TangerineLX ]

yeah I had a pretty good time at sac I didn't get a decent run until I let my 99 GT cool down after that I ran 14.044 I'm pretty much stock with some heavy ass tires. I don't get it last time I went to sac I ran a 14.088 with skinnier tires in front and half tread in back. Now a got 275 all around and some freakin way I broke my old record. So when is the FORD v.s chevy day I'm thinkin of bringin out tha SHO to see what that bad boy is capable of.
