Went to Sac Test&Tune Saturday and on 4th and final pass ran an 8.93 at 154mph. 60ft time was 1.35 1st pass had strange ignition miss which vanished in second gear. 2nd pass car pulled left half track-abort. 3rd pass over-adjusted sway bar and car pulled right. 4th pass slight swaybar adjustment and sraight she went with my foot through the floor. Big fun!

wahoooooo! on to the 7's LOL it is way impresive since your car looks like a 12 sec ride from the stands.

Kevin, was that you at Infineon last night? (3/10). I saw this wicked LX notch, small tire car, clicking off a 9.10, and at Infineon, thats a 8 sec pass ANYWHERE else on the planet.
If it wasnt you, then someone out there can provide you with some serious competition. I have heard the guy is an airline pilot. But, if its you, only you know if thats true or not.
If you are the guy with the 8 second Mustang LX notch, that ran a 9.10 at Infineon on a wednesday night(short of a miracle I might add), then:
I will come introduce myself sometime. I am the guy with the blacked out Mark VIII that runs in street sometimes. I am there with my buddy who runs a 9 second car as well.
Nothing finer than a small tire car running 8's. People just dont know how squirley a short wheelbase car, with small rear tires can get at 150+ MPH. Nice job. I am amazed.(and so were about 350+ spectators last night). [ March 11, 2004, 07:50 AM: Message edited by: Blackicelsc ]

If it was green notch and the driver was an airline pilot, that's Kevin.

Yup, that was me. I ran a de-tuned 9.06 on a 9.1 dialin, brokeout and thus lost during the first round of eliminations. I really wanted to race a few more rounds. Next time I'll dial in at 8.95 or 9.0. For those who might want a little info I use the stock mechanical clutch fan, stock 65amp alternator and 3 inch exhaust pipe and mufflers. The special nitro blend fuel is what makes the car go fast.--(I'm kidding)

LOL that is the reason I put my stock fan back on. I figured if it was good enough for a low nine sec car(which is what you were running the day I saw your car in Sac)it is good enough for me
