Just have fun and dont get to involved too much in the times you get. Get a feel of the car and the track and then just make it happen. In other words put your foot throught the radiator and make sure the shifter doesnt come off while mashing gears!!! [ July 16, 2003, 10:46 AM: Message edited by: MR GO FAST ]

If its your first time, try not to spin the tires off the line in first gear. You'll get a better time taking off too slow than you will spinning your radials off the line.

Good luck...take the advise about trying to not spin your tires off the line. Just ease into it, and then put your foot through the Radiator. Hope you have fun, I'll be out there in the black Roush...good luck

A 2.2 60' is not good....but I'm guessing you were on street tires?

Considering the non-existant track prep on a Wednesday night, it's a reasonable time.

I think a 2.2 60' is *great* for a 1st timer on OE street tires!

2.2 isn't bad for a first timer on a non track prep'd wednesday night. The ET to MPH ratio shows a lot of room left to grow in the shifting department as well.
So did you blow the tires off the line or baby it?

I believe on the fastest one I had a little too much wheelspin. I was trying to launch between 2k-2.5k seemed to work ok
