OK, In all fairness the Vette was on street tires, so traction was the real deciding factor.
The American Racer G60 All Pro's starting grabbing hard after a couple of good burnouts. After several bogs the l;aunch was taken to 5k and the clutch dropped w/ abandon.

1.73 60ft 7.82 at 88.72 12.25 at 111.623
Vs. Z06 (only ran 12.9 at 109, 2.0 60) 1.72 60 ft 7.79 at 88.39 12.21 at 112.012
I was a little worried that the slightly taller tires w/ softer compound would cost some mph compared to the Nitto's. Looks like the dyno tune offset the difference. The back end sways gently the whole length of the track. Tire pressure was 15-16psi. Gotta go change the sig

Congrats Jim! Hey, on your dyno graph it looked like you still had a tad more power to gain by dropping fuel pressure 1 psi. Just a thought, I know every last bit counts now that you're knocking on the door of 11's. What about a home made ram-air kit or pulling the belt?

He-He! If the long tubes get me that close, then you bet! Actually, if I have to go beltless to run an 11, then I can run 12.0's and just take it off for those special occasions...

Thanks! He did trap over 113 earlier in the day. Guess my intimidating looking little green mustang threw him off his pace. Jeff that works in the tower (eljefe) overheard him telling his friends how he got waxed by that green Mustang on DIRT TRACK TIRES! Tell you what, once you have some practice launching on 'em, we can have a go. The nice thing about these A/R's is how easy it is to launch on them. The Nitto's took some real finesse to get a good take off. JL

And where were you, young man? More like 1.6 tenths... It was black and running over 113 earlier in the day. He said he had run a best 60ft of 1.88 on his street tires previously. Guess the little green grocery getter was just too overwhelming for him. Sneaking up on the 11's- putting off safety equip. decision just a while longer.

Think so? Well, with your weight reduction I think your traps should be pretty good, so the ET should be there. As far as the tree goes, how many bracket trophies do you have ? I've got two... (scary, huh?)

Tremec-3550 = + 40 lbs Steel bellhousing = +40 lbs 6-pt rollbar = + 65 lbs full length subs + DS loop = + 25 lbs
weight reduction 'eh? I bet my car is heavier than yours, lol. I would like to try that digital scale at Sac when I get there! (but the rollbar isn't in so maybe I am slightly lighter, but with it, I doubt it)
far as the tree goes, well...
