I'm curious to know what 60 ft times people here have recorded on street tires. By street tires i don't mean nitto's or other drag radials, but plain street tires. How did you achieve your best times? So basically, what RPM did you launch at? did you drop the clutch or feather it? Did you change tire pressure at all? did you do a burnout to clean the tires? Lets hear some stories guys

My best in the auto GT is 2.11 on the stock 17's. I do a small 2 second burnout and stage. Then I brake stall it to about 1600 rpm and drop the hammer. I have tried both brake stalling and flashing the converter from idle . This GT runs about a 1/10 slower trying to flash the converter.

honestly, I think somewhere around a 2.35 was my best before I slapped on the ET Streets and never looked back. Granted this was on 225/60-15 michelin snow-tires with over 50k miles of abuse. I like to tell myself that I could 2.0x on pep boy futuras but I have nothing to back that up I probably can't launch on street tires, so there.

1.96 when i had my 94 cobra and it was stock. but when i started modding it, the times started to get nice and shitty and i had the help of a HUGE burnout (even though on street tires it doesnt help much...lol ) and some very fancy foot work

I think I've made only TWO true radial passes down the track in my life. AOD 5.O with pullies and 3.73's. 2.2 and 2.3 if I remember right. Not bringing sticky tires to the track is like not bringing an umbrella to a rain storm

My best was a 1.87, but never to be duplicated. Average was around high 1.9 to low 2.0. I left the tire pressure around 30-32 same as I run on the street. Most passes I left just off idle. Track prep is probably the most important part of the equation given a decent driver.

Update, had a 2.013 60ft tonight on street tires. Its kinda fun not running the slicks and having to worry about traction every now and then

1.901 with a one legger and 255/50/r15 bfg t/a radials. with an auto i stall it up to about 2200 and just let off the brake without pushing down on the gas until i feel it has enough momentum to give it more gas.
