Here are the excusess before I give the times. 1. I completely destoryed my 9" w/ trac loc and 4.11s so I took it out and put in my old stock 8" Now I have 2.79s a one legger and p245/50/r15 BFG T/A Radials. 2. Since I only have 2.79s, I never shifted into 3rd gear. 3. Motor was completely un-tuned, the data logger said it was a steady 10:1 A/F ratio the whole way down the track.
first run I spun pretty bad... R/T .552 60' 2.224 330 6.007 1/8 8.975 MPH 83.12 1000 11.521 1/4 13.686 MPH 103.63
Second run I spun a tiny bit off the line but not nearly as bad as the first. I also tried shifting into 3rd just before the finish line. R/T .376 60' 1.954 330 5.453 1/8 8.407 MPH 83.21 1000 10.953 1/4 13.114 MPH 104.02
Third run I spun a little more than the second. I choked on the light because the dude I was racing had a 10.20 falcon. This time I shifted at 6500 and left it in second gear through the finish. R/T .458 60' 1.984 330 5.492 1/8 8.429 MPH 83.98 1000 10.954 1/4 13.105 Dial 13.10 MPH 104.24
I was very happy with the 60' times since I have no gear, only one traction tire and the tire it's self is complete shit. That was about the only thing I was happy with however. It's pretty annoying to have a 4 speed auto and only get to use two of the gears. I got great gas milage on the way to and from the track though. 2.79s and a .67 OD is good for what, 190-200mph at 6500? ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

Yeah that was me. It would have been more fun to race you instead of that 10 second falcon. I saw you put up a .580 reaction time against Jarrod (1sicsleeper) so I was looking forward to running against you since my best is only a .552, it would have been a good race. Instead I got stuck next to a tubbed, caged, drag race only piece of crap.

Without your blower?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA hell yes that's without the blower. However the huge ass blower bracket (about 35lbs) is bolted on to the front of my motor right now slowing me down.
And yeup, out of the box heads and intake. There will be some port work down the road but for now I want to see how fast it will go by just buying the parts and slapping them on.
Shade-Tree she ran a 15.72 on a 15.50 dial which means the only way she could have won is if his R/T was .796 or worse on a perfect dial.
Now all I can think about is putting on some slicks and running a 12s with no gear and a one legger. Once it's mini tubbed and I tune it, I honestly feel it'll be good for low 12s but I'm not getting my hopes up.

It was the spider gears. I opened it up and there were 5 complete teeth sitting in the bottom of the housing and the gear oil was silver from all the fine metal shavings. Also a crap load of tiny metal nuggets.
I hear you're looking at a 351w. How much do you plan on upping the boost with the stronger block? Also are you going to use the O-ring design that your dad and you were talking about?

I went on Monday too for the first time in my pretty much stock 91 gt AOD! It was cooo....
1st Run Ever r/t .977 60' 2.256 330' 6.516 1/8 9.915 MPH 72.59 1000 12.821 1/4 15.274 MPH 91.79
2nd Run r/t .518 60' 2.272 330' 6.525 1/8 9.917 MPH 72.66 1000 12.821 1/4 15.272 MPH 91.73
3rd Run (1st Round Bracket Racing WON!) Dial 15.10 r/t .541 60' 2.290 330 6.508 1/8 9.867 MPH 73.52 1000 12.733 1/4 15.156 MPH 92.67
4th Run(2nd bracket Race WON!) Dial 15.10 r/t .597 60' 2.291 330 6.520 1/8 9.900 MPH 72.86 1000 12.800 1/4 15.264 MPH 90.92
5th Run(3rd Braket Race Lost!) Dial 15.10 r/t .608 60' 2.238 330 6.503 1/8 9.912 MPH 72.30 1000 12.829 1/4 15.292 MPH 91.27
15.1@92.67 with a .541r/t isnt bad for my first time in my pretty stock gt.
My 1991 Gt is an AOD with 139,000 miles with mods consisting of BBK Equal Length Headers, o/r X-pipe, 2chamber Flows, BBK Cold Air, Msd Blaster Coil. I say a 15.1 is decent cause that is a fast as it would go i guarntee it. That was with the AOD shuffle.
But hopefully a 2500 stall speed Torque Converter and Trans Go shift kit will get me into the 14.4 range. Those will be my next two mods the 3.73 gears will be after that hopefully dipping me into the high 13 low 14 range. Cant Wait!

Here are two local AOD combos that will get you your goal:
http://66.96.130.106/archives/2001/06/gm2/index.shtml (keep in mind it has factory 3.27's)
and another one:
http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2000/08/lx/index.shtml
I myself ran 14.48@95.5 with 3.73's, pullies, , mufflers, K&N in the stock air box on 225 pep boys tires, 180 thermo and nothing else. My AOD was on its last leg and left in "D" the whole time.

Jarrod, I'm hoping for low 12s with gears, slicks, and tuning on just the motor. "Is that blower going to fit" is the million dollar question, I'll have an answer about a month from now. Yeah I'll definitly have her give you a call when it's finally ready.
Mike, 10s are my goal but I'll probably run an 11.5 a few times before I can reach it.
The two cars I'm dying to see actual times from are Mike's and Albert's. Mike I know you don't want people knowing what you run but after you put that 351 in there you gotta get a time slip.
Albert, when's that MAF sensor gonna get here?

The '87 speed density cars tended to run faster than mass air cars when stock or near stock. They also tended to be lighter since GT seats, premium stereo, power windows/doors, ect wheren't standard options until '89.
