OK, it was my first time ever racing at a track. Too bad it had to be at a track that everyone didn't like bcuz since it was my first time i thought it was great! Okay anyway, I had a total of 3 runs while i was there. FIRST TIME EVER i got a 15.9 on the 1/4 mile, then the second practice run I spun my tires for way to long at the line.... shouldn't have done any, but i got a 16.0. THEN my last run bcuz it was bracket racing I couldnt go on bcuz, I ran a 15.7 at 85 mph!!!!!!!!! - R/T .884 - 60 ft. 2.3 Even though I couldn't go on, I beat both of my other times. I can't wait to see what I get up in Sac, with no shitty track and with no head wind and with me now having done it b4. I had a great time tho!! I mean it was tight... i was 1 of 2 girls out there racing!!!! it was GREAT!!!!!!!!

Being your first time you did as well as can be expected. The track isn't bad, if you go a couple times you will know what you can and can't do off the line. Good Luck

Sears is a bad track? Hardly. The only problem is when you run with the street tire crowd and the track staff gets tired of mopping up all the water they drip.
good runs

get that 60' down to a 2.0 and you got a low 15!
some friends of mine went, they said it royally sucked out there, the majority of the racers were 15-16-17 second cars, and LS1s and stangs were running like crap too. I guess I'll stick to sac!

I was running 14 flat the whole not, I can't brake into the 13's still.
My last 3 times..... 14.004 14.008 14.081
GOD DAMNIT!!
And all I can get is a high 2.2 60' time, I have tried.
The Ls1's were all high 13's and a few SS's were in the 14's .
The new Gt's were all mid 14's by the looks of it.
Not too good so far.

Glad you had fun your first time racing. BTW, I've raced at Sears and Sac and I think the tracks BOTH suck. The best time to go to Sac raceway is on a Test 'n tune and it costs $40 to run...but they prep the track much better. I got a 2.0 60 ft. on Test 'n tune and a 13.1 @ 105.5 best. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Well in my Chevy at Sears Point I was never (and still never been able to) get a 60' time better than a 2.1 on street tires. Old track and new track. The traction there JUST PLAIN SUCKS! At Sac, i pulled 3 2.0s in a row and didn't spin once on the same tires. That is a good track. Hell, even at SP yesterday on my drag radials, I stalled up to 1300 rpms and spun half way through first. So its not just the driver's. I pulled 1 1.9 on the DR's at SP, and all others were 2.0s. At Sac, Im sure I can pull a 1.8 on DR's Also, I'm sure Matt (the guy with the Pewter SS black stripes and SS rims?) has very good skills getting out of the hole,. I see him there all the time, I also had a r=un with him (he blew my dorrs off but I have tried EVERYTHING to get out of the whole at SP on street tires. I finally gave up a month ago, and I only go there on DR's now Even 2.0s on drag radials sucks for any track if you ask me
EDIT: hey v6boy that was you that I let use my tire guage, huh? And your girl is v6gurl? duh! Nice to meet you I guess ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) [ May 24, 2002, 12:34 AM: Message edited by: sfGi8nt ]

SKILLS!!! That is what I have been saying this whole time. If you had skills as well, you too could get low 60's.LOLOL j/k. Once again, you have seen him there a lot and on slicks he runs LOW 12's but on streets he keeps a respectable 60 (2.0's) and still is in the 12's. This man just backed up everything I have been saying.

e-dogg.... Seroously man, I am sure we would all pay $25 to race at Sears Point if you got all the ricers to go to Sac. We would pay their gas, food, travel time......... That is why it takes so long between races....You have 900 20 second cars that sound like &%*$!!!!!
