Few things: - 1.685 60ft for the first time out is impressive with the suspension you have. I do think at your power level, the car is capable of 1.59s with a higher launch (question is whether the suspension will allow it) - 106.2-107.23mph... 309/323 would suggest that you are missing a couple mph in there. You can pick up 1mph from a set of skinnies, but my guess would be that you should be in the 109-110mph range. I'm sure with more seat time, adjusting your shift points, and better air, you will do just that. Have you weighed the car and compared it to the fox? I'm also interested to see the video to see what flavor of Subway sandwich you are whipping up ;) [/qb]
Thanks Luke... Yeah, I was a bit surprised I was able to pull a 1.6X 60 ft as well, especially with the suspension. I think I am missing some mph for 2 reasons, my shift points, & also the car has the knock sensors on & is most likely pulling timing, not to mention it is a very conservative tune. With the knock sensors off, the car should gain a bit of MPH. I just need more seat time to get more familiar with the track & my car... last time I weighed the car, it was roughly 3,350 without me in it, so yes its a pig for sure. I have a few surprises for my next track outing though ;)
Originally posted by 68dustin: [qb] nice ride dustin! got to talk to you for a bit..sounds like last night was good for everyone.. got my new best as well! Damn how do you guys get ur 60ft down like that. I would be happy to break into 1.9 [/qb]
Thanks. Good to see you out there Dustin, your car is seriously BAD@$$!!! Sounds great too!!! What was your best pass?
Originally posted by RED@7kVERT *8850GT*: [qb] Like cstangs said the track was hooking pretty hard for slick guys, and I don't see how the air could have gotten any better, it was perfect last night! And he wasn't power shifting, but the sammichs were being made, he did good! I agree the mph is down for a DOHC car. I know his tune is on the ridiculous side of conservative tho. Reguardless, great times for first time on slicks n such. It was a good night for sure! [/qb]
Thanks Scott!!! I know my shifts weren't the best, but I didn't think I was making sandwich's LOL? If I was, they definitely weren't footlongs, but more like PB&J's on wonder bread LOL...
Originally posted by threethirty1: [qb] Nice slips man.. I think you could achieve those times on street tires easily. Super clean car. My brother is moving to Davis, soo i'm going to come out to Sac Raceway one night this summer and race with you guys! [/qb]
I doubt this car would run 12.7 on street tires, but thanks!!! LMK when you come out to sac...
Originally posted by Big block 66 f100: [qb] the mach hooks hard but that was a pretty funny burnout [/qb]
LOL... You guys didn't see that LOL... That sh#t was hella funny though. Sounded like an 85 Toyota pickup on 110 degree day LOL.. Hey, at least I followed it up with my best run of the night...
Originally posted by dTb: [qb] Damn d..see ur almost as fast as my fox...we needa run em b a good race... [/qb]
We can do this, but your fox SHOULD be walking my car... Here is a vid of 1 of the 1.6x 60 footers... Too bad I missed 2nd on this pass... http://www.youtube.com/user/DOHComeseeme#p/u/0/2gj9Jgo1etk [/QB]
