So i'm building my 66 fastback, going with a mustang II front end. I have a good low hp 302 sitting on my stand that came with the car. I'm going to start with this engine and save for my end game engine. These are my options..
347 (415 hp 415 tq) 408 (450 hp 470 tq) or a Gen 1 coyote swap (420hp 430 tq)
I'm not making a drag car, but all around dependable hot rod.. what would you guys go with?

347 Would be the cheapest and the most smartest idea.. i can use most the parts off my 302.. i want the coyote just for the cool factor

But really isn’t a 347 or 408 dependable ? We’ve been running push rod motors for 20 years lol. Never really worked on a coyote, know everything about a pushrod motor [ 2021-10-06, 10:42 PM: Message edited by: 68dustin ]
