Has anybody failed the visual with UD pulleys (polished, blue, red, etc other than black) when getting a smog check?
gauging if i should find stock ones and change them out.

I've had the polished aluminum UD pulleys on my car since 2002 and I've passed smog every time it's been required.

A smaller crankshaft pulley reduces your smog pump air flow by spinning your smog pump slower. Smog at idle can be affected. It has less effect at higher engine speeds.

No, you will not have an issue with passing smog due to the U.D. Pullies

U.D. pullies might slightly lower your smog numbers by reducing load on the engine. Less load causes less emissions if the tune is right.
