I have pypes violators and im not sure if the mufflers are on the correct side due to positioning of the tips. I dont recall seeing an inlet or outlet stamp, or arrows indicating direction. If no indicators, im assuming muffler can be on either side?
Ive positioned the flow tubes, tailpipes a few times...the freakin tips (moreso the passenger side) point out and away...not straight back. It erks me.
Anybody have this isse with pypes violators with 3” tips on their fox?

Depends on the style of muffler. Chambered mufflers are directional.

I've read that they can be installed backwards. The correct direction tends to have more of a raspy sounds and when reversed tends to quiet it down a bit.

just researched and found that the violator mufflers are directional and have an inlet stamp on it..i guess I missed that.
weird, because the exhaust sounds fine...
well, on to pulling the mufflers out...again

Installing mufflers reversed can cause more back pressure.
