Just got into rc’s and boy are they fun.
Anyone else out there into them?
If so, post what ya got? N mods
I’ve got
Senton I only run it on 3s but have a 20t pinion and have swapped the diff fluids to 100k front 200k center and 10k rear.
Kraton run on 4s with 18t pinion. Hobbywing motor fan also swapped diff fluids for 50k/200k/10k. Along with some T-Bone Racing stuff.
HPI savage flux that I pieced together. Hobbystar esc 1900kv motor. Center diff conversion. Big bore shocks. Run this beast on 4s only. Have t-bone stuff like the Kraton wheelie bar and Basher bumper. This is my favorite backyard Basher.
Then comes to the bahemofff.
The xmaxx 8s. I only run it on 6s but have swapped the esc to a hobbywing MAX6 and did 23/46 gears. Waiting in t-bone to deliver the skids for the bottom and exo cage.

Savage is under some changes at the time. Gonna swap diff fluids getting extreme diffing out whenever it’s doing wheelies.

Used to be wayy into it.
Think.. Rc/10 just came out.. Brian Kinwald raced for team associated.. RC car action was a magazine.. is it still??
Then Losi came along.. with the xx...and the rc 10gt came out, the gas powered truck.. i'm talking early to mid 90's here.. damn do i remember it well.
The cars now.. holy fucking shit.
Even the cheap ones are so much better than the best we had 20 years ago. Damn.

Those Losi’s are pretty good.
Been eying the DBXL-e.
....and yes the boats can haul some serious butt. Heck even the cheap one from harbor freight isn’t bad. I just don’t have any decent places with water that I would dare put an rc boat into.
Right now I’m having a hell of a time finding savage xl axles and diff shafts. The ones I have are on their way out.

What? Nobody likes the erevo anymore? Lol that thing on 6s is crazy for a rig that size. Can't imagine running an xmaxx on 8s.

I've been into small helicopters and quadcopters for a while. My wife just got me a DJI Phantom III for our anniversary. It's pretty awesome. Right now I'm working on building a battlebot for my son to compete with at Robo Games in April.
