Does anyone here have manual steering on their 87-93 mustang? What's the pro's and cons? I noticed that power steering pumps take lots of turning power to turn to keep running. I think by putting a manual steering instead you can free a little more horse power.

Pros: Looks better without a power steering pump.
Cons: Very hard to donuts
Steering is hard until the car is moving than it's just like power but you still have to give it a bit of effort to turn.

Not worth it unless its a track only car. [ 2016-11-07, 09:40 AM: Message edited by: 91 5.0 5speed ]

You can put a very large pulley, like SN95 302s come with to underdrive the power steering pump.
