My wife drives a 2013 Jetta. I'm hoping they have a fix approved. I like the car. It's hard to argue with 46mpg and 283ft/lbs of torque. If I actually gave a shit about emissions, I wouldn't be driving a Mustang.
Plus the $6k they'll pay out to those who get the fix done would be a nice downpayment on a new truck for me.

The fix will make the milage drop. And California gets involved there a big chance if the call is not done you can't register your car until it's been done and sign off by a dealership.

If I got the fix done, my plan was to chip it. Kerma TDI has a tuner for the CJAA for $600. It increases HP by 20%, torque by 30% and MPG by 10% (claimed). Like I said. I don't give a shit about emissions. [ 2016-06-30, 08:34 AM: Message edited by: wilit ]

As a tech that has worked for Volkswagen most of those tunes are shit and cause all kinds of problems.

Lol, this is true. I had to buy torx bits/sockets and a few other tools for my BMW, now every job is easy. European cars do suck tho.

Every part I have to go to the dealer also! I keep telling her to sell the POS because it ain't going to be worth shyt in the future. She wants a frs, brz or a wrx. I wonder how much is her insurance would charge her a lot $$$$.

LOL. If you think VW's are turds, wait till you own a BMW. At least with VW, you're getting a $25k turd. BMW, you're getting a $45k turd. I will NEVER own another BMW again.
