I've been ranked and then selected to be one of the lucky few to have the priveledge of handing GM more than $150k for a 2016 Copo Camero that I can't drive on the street, not really into Cameros...........but.............

You'd think that someone who's going to pay that much for a car could at least spell "Camaro" right.

Sorry I'm not a camaro person (see I spelled it right for all of you) Have you thought that maybe I spelled it wrong because I'm not a camaro fan(see I spelled it right for all of you again).

I'd cut a garage door into the side of my house so I could park it in my living room when not beating the hell out of it at tracks.

Become a dealer and get a dealer plate . Then you can drive it on the street.

Yeah it's been a long time, Still kind of waffling on whether or not I can justify more than 150k on a non street legal camaro, even if I decide to sell it I don't think the last batch of Copo's did very well at auction..........got another day to decide and send in the deposit, I might just end up doing that and then play it by ear when the build is done. I'm probably going with a RED collectors edition just have to decide which engine 350 CID w/ 2.9L Super Charger (NHRA rated SUBMISSION at 565 HP) $114,900 • Includes Parachute Package 427 CID NA (NHRA rated SUBMISSION at 468 HP) $106,900 6.2 Liter NA (LT Based) (NHRA rated SUBMISSION at 395 HP) $109,900

For the money I would say buy and build a sick 68-69 camaro. Enjoy it on the street, appreciate in value, and have better looks.
Although cool to be selected to own the copo one I just don't think they look all that good. The 1st gen camaro and 71-72 split bumpers are the only ones over personally ever appreciated the styling of.
You don't appear to be a die hard fan of the camaro so I could see you selling it down the line and regretting the decision to purchase.

Good to see you posting again! What did you decide to do about the COPO? Either way, congrats on being offered the opportunity.

If you can sit on it for a while I'm sure it would bring a decent return at an auction. At this point it would be an investment, who cares if it's a camaro as long as the money is green when you sell it. If your looking for a track only car you can buy one for a lot less.

Always here in the background, just doing admin stuff.
Nothing major on the car side of things, interesting enough to warrant a post just been thinning out the herd.
I'm completing the purchase on the copo then handing to a friend who is a Camaro freak of nature. He didn't get chosen, and if he had found out that I did and turned it down he would have killed me..........LOL
