Idk who would even want to pay $450k for a ford. Especially 6 cylinder.

You must not be aware of the 05/06 GT's doubling in value.

They are only making 500 of them. All 500 will be sold to collectors who sit on them for years to come.

This is a perfect case of if you have money you can make money, yeah 450k is a lot of money but if you were able to land one of these cars youd be able to sell it right away for over 600k. All the people that have the money to buy one wont get accepted through the application process and will pay even double for one, it's just the way it goes on any and all merchandise especially limited production vehicles

Very aware. You can still buy a nice '06 with reasonably low miles for half of what the new one costs. Hell, I'd buy 2 of the old GT before I bought one of the new ones.
There's absolutely no reason they couldn't have gone with a twin turbo version of the Coyote. It would've made more power too. It really sucks because the car is a drop dead stunner and it deserves a real engine. [ 2016-04-14, 08:06 PM: Message edited by: iceman302 ]

Doubt it would pass epa standardso with v8 and twins. Second ford is banking a lot on ecoboost technology so there pushing it hard.

A stock eco boost F 150 is running 13.9x's-14.1x in the quarter mile.... I don't understand why so many people don't like them. Low 12's is a premium tune away.

That is pretty ridiculous...applications to buy one based on previous loyalty to the brand? The first person that gets one is going to immediately sell it at 1.5X the cost and make more money off of it. So much for brand loyalty...
You can get a new Ferrari 488GTB for roughly 2/3 the cost and your application is your checkbook...none of that owner's club bs marketing tool to gouge potential buyers (collectors really).
I am sure the Ford GT is a wonderful car though.... [ 2016-04-17, 11:17 PM: Message edited by: CobramanPhil ]

All high end ferraris are the same way. They usually go to previous Ferrari owners first.
