I'm looking for a local bay area shop that can re-chrome some wheels. Can anyone refer a local shop that does excellent and long lasting chroming? I'm on the westbay peninsula but I can go anywhere within reasonable time and driving. Sacramento would be too far for me but areas like Hayward and Fremont are drivable. Thanks.

I'm having superior chrome in San Jose knock out about 5k in chrome work.
With epa be prepared for sticker shock.
If I were doing a high dollar build I would go with Sherms in sac though. [ 2016-04-12, 10:47 PM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

I just searched and found Superior Chromes, San Jose. Their website states:
"Generally speaking, we do not plate any type of rims, with rare exception."
But Thanks for the suggestion.

Shucks didn't know they didnt do wheels.
I just do old school trim and bumpers. Etc.
I know I asked a while back for wheels at another place and they just kinda chuckled and said it be best if I just found them already chrome because it would be so expensive it wouldn't make sense. They were right I ended up just finding a set already finished for that vette. [ 2016-04-12, 11:07 PM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

I would not send my worst enemy to High Lustre Chrome in Hayward. I have had them do a couple batches of chrome work; either the chrome was poor initially, or it flaked off later. Total garbage.
As mentioned above, Sherms in Sacramento is top notch and used by some of the biggest names in high end show cars. I have used them with great satisfaction.
Pacific Rim in Pittsburg does a powdercoat-type chrome which is very nice.
