I will be installing my mm torque arm pretty soon. I was wondering what will be the best choice of springs not looking for a major drop mayb 1/2" to 1" drop will be going on a 97 cobra convertible

Call MM they have specific springs for torque arms. You also can run adjustable LCA's to adjust your ride height.
