I know afew people here have bought these systems. Just curious to see what route you`ve taken for fuel lines, tanks, and returns lines. And also if any are auto(4r70w) specific.
Plan on getting the 600hp+boost setup. Since i need a new tank was planning getting a tank from glenns. http://www.glennsperformance.com/index.php?cPath=77
What type of fuel lines are you also using?

I've got the 600hp + Power adder setup. It's still in the box though. 68Dustin has his up and running though.
These systems don't do anything with the transmission control, so you need to run a stand alone transmission controller for the 4R70W. The power adder system is nice though in that it controls an electric fan and the timing curve if you have a compatible distributor.
As for the tank, if I had to do it over again, I would have ordered one from Tanks Inc. I think it's about the cleanest setup out there. I'm planning on running two 3/8" steel lines along the frame rails. They'll be flared and connected to -6AN lines for the feed and return. [ 2016-03-12, 05:46 PM: Message edited by: wilit ]

I've done 6 of them, all n/a cars but great tech support. I use tanks Inc when I can or a external 255lph pump hardlined with 3ft of flex to the motor.

My 1970 Coupe, my only issue with the trans is that i have to tap in to the tps sensor for the controllet; but it will i guess void the warrenty for the ecu. Even tho their techs have confirmed customers have done it..waiting on a response back from them.
Ive seen the tanks.inc but was sure about it not being ss vs the mild steel?
Also figure go with the boost model for incase down the road much later want to change it up from na to boost [ 2016-03-12, 08:26 PM: Message edited by: 70stang351w ]

I assume and I hate assuming but it's probably going on a Windsor motor.
In that case if you plan on keeping it under 600hp why use such a primitive system. It's a glorified tbi system when you can slap a sequential efi system for a few more bucks by using a fox eec set up.
Just get s seperate tcu for that 4R [ 2016-03-12, 09:29 PM: Message edited by: Fostang ]

Anyone have pics of tanks inc installed?really dont want the fuel lines in the car... I guess i could make the tank armor fit over the lines, also plan to weld the trunk area closed from the back seat . To get rid of that issue. But any pics would be great

Not everyone has crazy Fostang money.
I did a cost comparison between the FiTech and a stock type SEFI setup. The cost difference is pretty significant. Here's how I justified the system buying the FiTech...
FiTech system: $1200. Includes all sensors, wiring and works with my existing intake manifold, filter and distributor. Since I have a '68, I don't need to swap over to a accelerator cable setup. It also self learns and works as-is either NA or forced induction.
Stock type SEFI using mostly used parts: $450 - Decent used Edelbrock or Trick flow intake $150 - Injectors $100 - Fuel rails $100 - Fuel pressure regulator $150 - Throttle body $200 - MAF $500 - Ron Morris harness $125 - A9P EEC $100 - Distributor $50 - Air filter $100 - Cable accelerator $150 - Chip $500 - Professional tune $100 - Misc sensors $2,775 - Grand Total
It's easily more than double the cost. Sure there's some areas where you could save some cash like with the tune and maybe the harness, but it's still considerably more than the FiTech system. For me, the cost differential was too great to overcome the minuscule benefits that the SEFI setup provides over the FiTech. Also, the SEFI setup just isn't pretty. The goofy manifold design and bulky harness just doesn't look good in a classic car.

The swap looks like it will cost just under 2k for the fi tech unit, new gas tank and all fuel lines, dizzy, fuel connectors and small things.... If i where to go msd efi it would cost over 3k so like wiliti saif it makes the most sense.

I used the stainless ptfe hose, half inch aluminum line and the stealth aero motive tank. I then used my stock "ish" 3/8 line for return. You could get off cheaper with an inline pump and rubber fi hose. My fuel setup was about 1k. I wouldn't get worried about the fuel line being in the trunk. If you think about it, the filler neck and tank are in the car anyway and the filler neck would be hit first in a wreck. I went with the ptfe hose since it's suppose to not leach fuel smell. Perks of being in a old Mustang. lol

Summit has it. I used their brand line and fragola ends. The ends were cheaper on Amazon. Make sure to get extra olives in case you jack one up. Or in my case, jack up four of them. Haha

Good news is you can get it even cheaper now with a bit of a discount.
