Different states use different terms. If you intend to keep the car, then resale value is not a big issue. I own two cars with salvage titles and I don't mind, because I have no intention of ever selling either car. <br /><br />But if you are buying a car with visions of a long-term investment, a salvage/rebuilt title is not a good way to go.
