So I'm trying to order my hood today and I last minute read 2/3 horrible reviews in trufibers face book page. I was dead set on it because it's the only 3" available by a reputable company. Just wondering if cervini is worth losing the height I want and paying an extra 230 over the price of the tf hood. And yea I'm prepared for a big purchase but holy shit 630 for a damn hood?!? I've seen a cervini in person liked it and I even had one on my first lx hatch and it was great too but like I said let me know your opinions on either or and how each company handled your business with them bad or good

Cervini are the best fitting hoods and can easily sell for $400 used, but they are very heavy and aren't very strong because they are made with a spray gun, a hand laid fiberglass hood will be a lot stronger and almost half the weight of a Cervini, I don't know of any hand laid fiberglass hoods that fit as good as a Cervini [ 2016-01-05, 08:59 AM: Message edited by: racsirx ]

According to their site, trufiber is hand laid and reinforced around the hatch area which is also a plus for them. I haven't seen any horror stories on fitment

I have had a few trufiber hoods but I don't remember them being hand laid, if you get one I would like to see it to refresh my memory

i cant speak for a fox hood. However i do have one on my 01 cobra. While, yes they arent the lightest hood but the fitment is near stock if not better. The hood latch flange is thick and well secure so no pins would ever see mine. When i dropped the hood off at the body shop to be painted for my car i remember him saying how much he loves cervini hoods because they are also fully finished on the bottom side and not much prep is even needed if any. Get what you pay for though man.. I cannot speak for TF but i thought they had cool looking hoods..

Lee is right...he helped me with mine. It's heavy but fit pretty good. My stock hood was lots lighter.

Holy fuck that's beautiful. But thanks, I've decided to stick with trufiber like I initially planned. Hopefully nothing goes array and I don't have to deal with, what seems to be the only issue with the company, shitty customer service
