I have this old gas floor furnace underneath the house. The hood is rusted and was shut down for Carbon Monoxide venting up the grating. If anyone here knows how to do metal fabrication & repair and had experience doing this before, please contact me via email at: lemon2lime@sbcglobal.net Losing heat during this winter came at the worst possible time. Thanks if anyone can help.

is there any issues with the burner flame also? although a cracked or damaged chamber is a cause for unsafe condition an efficient burner should not produce to much if any CO.

The pilot light tube isn't tightly sealed (according to pg&e) only the hood is mentioned being rusted completely and is unsafe to use. No cracks in the pipes are mentioned.
